Dorothy Marie (Judge) Doyle, age 74, of Sunnyside Ave., Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Scranton on March 9, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Dorothy (Walton) Judge. She was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School, Scranton, in 1965 and attended Marywood College, Scranton, before graduating from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Carbondale. She resided in Bloomsburg for the past 48 years.

Dorothy was a Registered Nurse and later went on to work at the Medicine Shoppe in Bloomsburg for 20 years.

She loved to travel. She and her husband, James, traveled throughout most of the United States and to many international locations. Her favorite destination was Ireland. She enjoyed camping with her husband and children and later in life shared her love of the outdoors with her grandchildren.

Dorothy was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Judge.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, James F. Doyle, Jr., with whom she would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 11, 2021; a son, Kevin Doyle, and his wife Jennifer, of Wescosville; a daughter, Maureen, wife of Todd Linvill, of Columbia City, Indiana; three grandchildren: Aidan, Lindsay, and Maeve; and two nephews and three nieces.

Private services will be held at a later date and she will be laid to rest in peace at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Commonwealth Hospice of Berwick, 1409 N. Market St., Suite 202, Berwick, PA 18603.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
