Donna Jean Smith

Donna Jean Smith, age 57, of 1300 Ferry Rd., Bloomsburg, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born on June 1, 1963 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of Marlene Donna (McHenry) Hall, Bloomsburg and the late Thomas Roy Snyder. She was a 1981 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Donna was employed by Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville, as a CNA and  previously worked for the former Gold Star Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Erttle, on February 1, 1993.

Donna is survived by her husband, Robert T. Smith; twin daughters: Danita A., wife of Brian DeFrain, Bloomsburg and Danielle L., wife of Nicholas Shultz, Bloomsburg; five step-children: Michael Smith, and his wife Malie, Bloomsburg, Jared Smith, and his wife Amanda, Berwick, Shawn Smith, Scranton, Alicia Smith, Hetlerville, and Courtney Smith, wife of John Derby, Berwick; 14 grandchildren, including Zeke Garrison who resided with her; two sisters: Debra, wife of James Corley, Bloomsburg and Deanna Harner, Bloomsburg; and a brother, Thomas Roy Snyder, Jr., Rohrsburg.

There will be no services. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time.
