Donna L. (Carl) Fornwald

Donna L. (Carl) Fornwald, age 85, of W. 6th St., Bloomsburg, died on Wednesday September 9, 2026 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on December 17, 1940 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Gloria (Hauck) Carl.

Donna was employed at the former Acme Markets in Bloomsburg for over 30 years.

She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Donna loved her dog, Misty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard L. “Dick” Fornwald, on November 2, 2017.

Surviving is her son, Ricky L. Albertson, of Elysburg; two grandchildren, Aleisha Albertson, of Hollidaysburg and Rickey L. Albertson, II, of Danville; great-grandson, Draven Peters; and sister, Judy, wife of Roland Rhone, of Shavertown.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 17, 2026 at 1 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Lisa Raylene Barnes, officiating. Interment will be made in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. A viewing will be held from 12 noon-1 p.m.
