Donald D. Murphy

Donald D. Murphy, age 94, of Hendrickson Road, Danville, passed away on Thursday October 1, 2026 at Nottingham Village in Northumberland.

Born on May 13, 1932 in Homewood, Illinois, he was the son of the late Fred and Lucille (Young) Murphy. He was a 1950 graduate of Homewood High School.

He served his country by serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Donald was last employed as a tin smith for the Selinsgrove Center.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie (Genth) Murphy, on March 10, 2002; brother, Robert Murphy and sister, Eileen Berry.

Surviving is his wife, Barbara Brookhart; three children: Donald Murphy, and his wife Irene, of Danville, Gary Murphy, and his wife Karen, of Seattle, Washington; and Sandra, wife of Randy Raker, of Danville; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

At his request there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville.
