Donald A. Kriner, Sr., age 65, of 33 Kelly St., Danville, died at his home on Friday, March 6, 2020.
He was born on October 21, 1954 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Paul and Nancy (Moodie) Kriner. He resided in the Danville area most of his life, except for 12 years when he resided in rural Catawissa.
Donald was last employed at the Danville Child Development Center, retiring in 2018. Earlier he was employed for many years by Cole’s Hardware Store in Danville as manager of the paint department.
He enjoyed reading and was a history buff. He valued the time he spent with his granddaughter. An avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football, he also was a fan of the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. He enjoyed playing video games.
Surviving are three children: Jason R. Kriner and a daughter Jessica L. Kriner, both of Catawissa; Donald A. Kriner, Jr. & Family, Berwick; a granddaughter, Paige Marie St. Andre, Catawissa; three brothers: David Kriner, and his wife Linda, Buckhorn; Clifford “Butch” Kriner, and his wife Barb, Riverside; Robert Kriner, Danville; two sisters: Barb, wife of James Crowley, Berwick and Linda, wife of Dennis Fox, Bloomsburg. There also are a number of nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be sent to the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville, PA 17821 to help defray funeral expenses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
