Donald R. "Donnie" Hoffman

Donald R. “Donnie” Hoffman, age 67, of Northumberland, passed away on Tuesday July 7, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on April 22, 1958 in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Ray E. Hoffman, Sr. and Shirley A. Evelyn. He resided in the Bloomsburg and Northumberland areas for most of his life.

He received the Governor Thornburgh Best of Show Award in 1979 for artwork he painted by using his mouth to hold a paintbrush.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Jennifer Marie Hoffman on November 30, 1998.

Surviving are his sister, Lisa Dawn Brown, of Turbotville; brother, Ray E. Hoffman, Jr., of Rupert; three nieces: Morgana L., wife of Scott Slodysko, of Numidia, Eugraine J. Brown, of Montoursville, and Kyra L. Brown, of Muncy; nephew, Kabe A. Brown, of Roaring Branch; aunt, Rosemary Loss; and a great-nephew, Xavier.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 16, 2025 at 2 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa. A viewing will be held from 1-2 p.m.
