Desiree Kendra Engel

Desiree Kendra Engel, age 28, of Williamsport and formerly of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday April 14, 2024 at UPMC Hospital in Williamsport.

Born on January 16, 1996 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of Nancy (Stine) Engel, of Bloomsburg, and Daniel Engel, of Williamsport. She had been a resident of Williamsport for several months. She previously resided in Bloomsburg for most of her life.

Desiree enjoyed reading, writing, and doing crafts. She loved pets and especially loved her cats, Nova and Caine. She was a mental health advocate and a proud organ donor. She was a good cook, a good listener, and was sensitive to the needs of others.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Daniele Engel, on September 7, 2020.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepfather, Willis Person, of Berwick; stepmother, Lee Ann Engel, of Williamsport; sister, Pamela Engel, of Williamsport; stepbrother, Daniel Engel, of Williamsport; stepsister, Elena Person, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three nieces and one nephew.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 15, 2024 at the family homestead, 103 Cleveland Rd., Catawissa, PA 17820.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
