Debbie L. (Wegrzynowicz) Boettner

Debbie L. (Wegrzynowicz) Boettner, 67, of Middle Road, Catawissa passed away at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville on Thursday, May 8, 2025 after an illness.

Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on July 26, 1957, she was a daughter of Albert J. and Miriam M. (Maurer) Wegrzynowicz. She was a lifelong resident of the Numidia area and a 1976 graduate of Southern High School.

Debbie was employed by Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for over 40 years and was a system analyst at the time of her death.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at Slabtown.

Debbie enjoyed crafts, Christmas, spending time with her family and cooking. She loved animals, especially her cat.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Boettner, on January 26, 2004.

Debbie is survived by three brothers: William Wegrzynowicz and his wife Linda, Ronald J. Wegrzynowicz and his wife Edith of Catawissa, Dennis J. Wegrzynowicz and his wife Kathleen of Muncy; six nephews and nieces: Brian Wegrzynowicz and his wife Cheryl of Elysburg, Tricia Litterer of Bloomsburg, Brad Wegrzynowicz and his wife Jana of Union City, New Jersey, Jayson Wegrzynowicz and his wife Crystal of Catawissa, Aaron Wegrzynowicz of Catawissa, Misty, wife of Jay Gensel of Catawissa; and several great nieces and great nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a. m. in Our Lady od Mercy Catholic Church, 304 Slabtown Road, Catawissa with her pastor Rev. Martin Moran officiating. Interment in Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery, Millgrove. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
