David Fenstermacher

David Fenstermacher, age 63, of Middle Road, Elysburg (Cleveland Twp.), died unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday January 21, 2024 at his home.

Born on February 25, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona, he was the son of the late Delbert and Ruth (Ditko) Fenstermacher. A lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg and Numidia areas, he attended Bloomsburg area schools. He graduated from Williamsport Area Community College with an associate’s degree in Electronics.

David was last employed by the Department of Environmental Protection for 14 years, retiring on December 30, 2022. He was previously employed by the former Howell’s TV and Appliances for over 20 years.

David enjoyed fixing things and he proudly remodeled his home. He also enjoyed reading and bicycling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Fenstermacher.

Surviving is his wife, the former Kathy Nooney, with whom he observed their 33rd wedding anniversary on March 17, 2023; two step-sons, Allan Vandermark, Jr., and his wife Amy, of Bloomsburg, and William Vandermark, and his wife Lauren, of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Oliver Vandermark, Olivia Vandermark, and Alexander Vandermark; two brothers, Charles Fenstermacher, of Orangeville, and Terry Fenstermacher, of Bloomsburg; and a sister, Dale Milheim, and her companion, Fred Robinson, of Berwick.

At David’s request, there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
