David C. "Dave" Edwards

David C. “Dave” Edwards, age 71, of Country Club Drive, Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday September 20, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born on May 6, 1954 in Montgomery, Lycoming County, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Joanne (Fornwald) Edwards. David was a 1972 graduate of Wyomissing High School and a 1976 graduate of Millersville State College.

He was an industrial arts teacher at Central Columbia High School for over 30 years. His students fondly called him “Mr. E.” He also worked at Renco in Bloomsburg for 27 years.

David’s passion was for teaching and building things. In addition, he enjoyed playing with the Buccaneers Drum Corps and teaching the color guard.

Surviving is his wife, the former Cynthia L. Hunter, whom he married on November 30, 2023; son, Austin Edwards, of Florida; three stepchildren: John Conklin, and his wife Kimberly, of Milton, Joe Conklin, and his wife Beth, of Colorado, and Amber, wife of Dustin Beaver, of Northumberland; several grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Robin, wife of Kevin Reichart, of Reading.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
