Dale G. Albertson, age 80, 81 Magee Road, Millville, died at 2:25 p. m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was in failing health for several years.

Born in Orange Township, Columbia County on October 19, 1936, he was a son of the late John and Mildred (Harvey) Albertson. He attended the Mount Pleasant Township School at Millertown. He resided in Madison Township for the past eight years and previously lived in Catawissa.

Dale was last employed by the Central Columbia School District as a custodian, working there for 12 years before retiring in October, 1998. Previously he was employed at Girton Manufacturing, Millville; Milco Industries, Bloomsburg and the former Catawissa Lumber Co. in Catawissa.

He was a life member of the Danville Lodge,  Loyal Order of the Moose and the Continental Fire Co., Danville. Dale enjoyed woodworking, watching NASCAR racing on television and Southern Columbia High School football.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emma Rae Fausnaught and a brother Robert Albertson.

Dale is survived by his wife, the former Frances E. Morgan, with whom he celebrated his 56th wedding anniversary on November 18, 2016; two daughters: Janet Sutton, Millville and Carol, wife of Robert Fausnaught, Danville; a son, Steven Albertson, Benton; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers: Clarence Albertson, Conyngham and Eugene Albertson, Allentown; a sister, Linda Sheeto, Conyngham; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held on Thursday in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge, with the Rev. Gordon E. Smith, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy, officiating. There will be no viewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
