Connie Lou (Barnes) Young

Connie Lou Young, 79, of Bissetts Lane, Bloomsburg, ran through the gates of heaven on Sunday July 26, 2026 at her home.

Born on February 11, 1947 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Sara (Boyer) Barnes. A 1965 graduate of Central High School, Connie spent her lifetime in the Bloomsburg area.

She was a creeler at Bloomsburg Carpet for 15 years.

Connie was a member of the LCBC church in Bloomsburg.

She enjoyed crafting and attending yard sales. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends and she will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her fiancé of 34 years, John Dube.

Surviving are her five children: Ronald L. Young, II, and his wife Deborah, of Berwick, Teresa, wife of Edward Sherwood, of Millville, Todd A. Young, of Berwick, Crystal Young, wife of David Thomas, of Bloomsburg, and Melisa, wife of David McCracken, Catawissa; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and a brother, Andrew M. Barnes, of Bloomsburg.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
