Charlotte Mae O'Brecht

Charlotte M. O'Brecht, age 90, 2620 Tower Road, Bloomsburg, died at 1:45 a. m. Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was a patient for two days. She was in failing health since January.

Born on November 21, 1926 in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late Charles N., Sr. and Mary E. (Thomas) Chamberlain. She was a 1945 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Charlotte was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Espy.

She enjoyed spending with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a former 4-H Club leader, loved gardening,  word search puzzles and traveling with her husband in their R. V.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Lynwood K. O'Brecht,  on May 5, 2000 and by a brother Kenneth Chamberlain.

Charlotte is survived by three children: Ted L. Wozniak, Jr., Catawissa; Charlyne M., wife of Jeffrey D. Eichner, Sr., at home; Kenneth E. O'Brecht, and his wife Mary, Millville; five grandchildren;  a step-grandson; five great-grandchildren;  two sisters: Arlene Pope, Millville and Nancy Streich, Lititz; a brother, Charles N. Chamberlain, Jr., and his wife Carol, Bloomsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11 a. m. in St. John Lutheran Church,  2575 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg (Espy), with her pastor, Rev. Gordon E. Smith and her nephew Pastor Charles N. Chamberlain, III officiating.  Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Viewing on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2-4 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg or at the Church on Monday from 10-11 a. m.
