Charles D. Kahler, age 88, of East 8th St., Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday November 19, 2025 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born on May 17, 1937 in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Donald and Lois (Pastle) Kahler. He was a 1955 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.
Charles proudly served his country by serving in the U.S. Army.
He worked in the human resource department at the former Magee Carpet Company in Bloomsburg for over 40 years, retiring in 1999.
Charles was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg.
He was one of the founders of the Bloomsburg Ambulance Association. He enjoyed hunting and camping.
Surviving is his wife, the former Marie Drumheller, with whom he celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on November 4, 2025; son, Kyle Kahler, of Bloomsburg; daughter, Donna, wife of Todd Bender, of Danville; granddaughter, Lena Kahler, of Catawissa; grandson, Bryce Bender, of Danville; and sister, Shirley A. Fine, of Quakertown.
Private graveside services will be held in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, with Rev. Pamela Meilands, officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
