Charles Edward Hurley, Jr.

Charles Edward Hurley, Jr., age 30, of 401 Railroad St., Catawissa, died on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was a patient for six days.

Born in Mahoning Township, Montour County on August 11, 1988, he was the son of Carol C. (Kremser) Fox, with whom he resided and Charles Edward “Butch” Hurley, Berwick. He resided in Catawissa most of  his lifetime and was a 2007 graduate of Southern Columbia High School.

Most of his life he was employed in the construction trade.

Charles was a NASCAR and football fan. He enjoyed playing with his nephew Garrett and watching football on Sunday’s with his step-father, Tommy Fox.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edith and Larry Kremser and his paternal grandfather, Charles Hurley.

Surviving in addition to his parents, is his step-father, Thomas Fox, Catawissa; his step-mother, Lucina Hurley, Berwick; five  siblings: Chelsea VonBlohn,, Jacob VonBlohn, Jessica Richendrfer, Cathy Springer and Christopher M. Hurley, all of Danville;  and his paternal grandmother, Patricia Broadt, Atlas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. The family will greet friends from 1-2 p. m.

Please omit flowers. Contributions may be sent to the funeral home to assist in defraying funeral expenses.
