Catherine E. "Sue" (Deska) Zukowski

Catherine E. “Sue” (Deska) Zukowski, age 83, of Catawissa, passed away on Friday March 6, 2026 at her home.

Born on November 13, 1942 in Catawissa, she was the daughter of the late George and Evelyn E. (Shoffler) Deska.

Sue was an in-home caregiver for most of her life.

She was a member of the Lightstreet United Methodist Church.

Sue was preceded in death by two brothers, George D. Deska and Jeff Deska and two sisters, Caroline Alkema and Shelley Schofield.

Surviving is her son, Richard G. Zukowski; three grandchildren: Paul Schmeltzer, Casey Sechrist, and Bella Hoffman; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 20, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in Lightstreet United Methodist Church, 1640 Main St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Rebecca Cuddeback, officiating. Private interment will be made in Esther Furnace Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
