Catherine V. Hughes

Catherine V. Hughes, age 56, 201 W. First Street, Bloomsburg, died on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the emergency room of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital.

Born in Brooklyn, New York on February 22, 1961, she was the daughter of Catherine (Morris) Guzewicz, Manahawkin, New Jersey and the late Matthew P. Hughes. She resided in Bloomsburg for ten years and formerly lived in Puerto Rico.

Catherine was volunteer  for various activities before coming to Bloomsburg and served as a paramedic  with the first aide squad in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are three sons: Albert  Marrero, Seaside Heights, New Jersey; Adam Delmont, Virginia; Gregory Hughes, Manahawkin, New Jersey; a daughter, Katrina Hughes, Manahawkin, New Jersey; five grandchildren; two brothers: Patrick Hughes, New York City and Frank Guzewicz, Manahawkin, New Jersey; and three sisters: Denise Golucci, Fountain Hills, Arizona; Lisa Rahani, Bricktown, New Jersey; Sandra McCormack, Manchester, New Jersey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held in New Jersey.
