Carolyn L. Whitmite

Carolyn L. Whitmire, age 64, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday August 25, 2026 at her home.

Born on October 10, 1961 in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Chester F. and Gloria D. (Gottshall) Wojchechowski.

She was baptized in the Atlantic Ocean by the Christian church in Myrtle Beach, SC with her cousin, Barbara in 2015.

Carolyn enjoyed bingo, yard sales, playing with her cat, Samson, and reading Bible verses with her son, Noah. She enjoyed passing the time by coloring and singing. She was known to always want a Whopper Jr. or Dalo’s Pizza.

Everyone enjoyed Carolyn’s encouraging personality and smile. She overcame many of life’s struggles. She was a singing bird, always chirping. She will always be remembered as Mama Bear. May she rest in peace.

She was preceded in death by a stepsister, Rosemary Holly Mills.

Surviving are her two sons, Noah Frank Bomboy, of Frackville and Ethan Whitmire, of Berwick; daughter, Brianna Whitmire, of Catawissa; and stepbrother, John Howard, of Berwick.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
