Carol I. (Pickard) Wagner, age 59, 4037 Smith Street, Bloomsburg (Almedia) died at her home on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 9:30 p. m. after an illness, surrounded by her family.

Born on January 22, 1959 in Elkhart, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Chester I. and Lorraine (Vandal) Pickard. She spent most of her life in the Bloomsburg area.

Carol was employed by the Central Columbia School District for the past 11 years as a cafeteria worker and van driver for special needs students. Before her illness she attended the Shiloh Bible Church in Almedia.

She loved spending time outdoors, going camping, watching birds, going for country drives and spending time with her husband, children and pets. She rescued any animal in need and gave them a loving home.

Carol is survived by her husband of  12 years, Robert E. Wagner; a son Danny Busch, Berwick; two daughters:  Rosemary, wife of Brian Tretter and Amanda Nagle, all of Bloomsburg;  a granddaughter, Renee Busch; a grandson Jeffrey Busch; and  her grand-pups: Mason, Watson and Connor.

She is also survived by six siblings: Crystal, wife of Ronald Singley, Bloomsburg; Chester I. Pickard, and his wife Paula, Benton; Candy, wife of Robert Stevens, Marathon, N.Y.; Cherie Swieczkowski, Bloomsburg; Connie, wife of D. J. Comuntzis, Shickshinny; Craig Pickard, Berwick; numerous nieces and nephews,  and many good friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Daniel Nagle, sister-in-law, Donna Pickard, parents-in-law Ralph and Eileen Wagner, and her dog Shadow.

At Carol’s request, there will be a private service held at a later date by her family.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
