Carmen Lydia Castro

Carmen Lydia Castro, 88, of Cub Circle, Bloomsburg died at her home on Friday, September 12, 2025 after an illness.

Born in Puerto Rico on July 31,1937, she was the daughter of Cruz and Lucia (Rondon) Castro.

She was a member of Cristo La Roca church in Hazleton.

Surviving are 4 children: Carmen Rosado of Massachusetts, Maria Pinentel of Hazleton, Luis Acosta and Maribel Acosta both of Massachusetts; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Carmen Teresa Castro of New York.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, PA. Friends may call from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Following the service, she will be buried in Creveling Cemetery in Bloomsburg.
