Bryan D. "Melissa" Farver

Bryan D. “Melissa” Farver, age 26, 433 N. Graham St., Pittsburgh, died at her home on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

Born at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, on October 8, 1993, she was the daughter of Sarah Hayes, Bloomsburg and Preston Farver, Orangeville. She was a 2012 graduate of Central Columbia High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Melissa resided in Pittsburgh for the past six years and was employed at Brillobos Bar & Restaurant as a dishwasher and line cook.

She was active in the music community in Pittsburgh and also in the LGBT community. At the time of her death she was transitioning into Melissa. She loved to read and was a poet and had some of her poetry published on line.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents: Seri Briggs, Randy Howard, and Carol Hayes, all of Bloomsburg; her paternal grandparents: Glovene and Otis “Junior” Farver, Unityville; her bonus mom, Kelly Noss, Berwick; siblings: Donald Hayes, Bloomsburg, Andrew Hayes, Bloomsburg, Diana (Banks) Wolf Bellfonte, Abigail Noss, Bruce Noss and Kannon Benninger, all of Berwick.

A viewing and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 2-4 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
