Betty Jean (Klinger) Swisher, 82, of Wedgetown Road, Bloomsburg passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side, on Monday morning, June 2, 2025.
Born in Bloomsburg on Feb. 23, 1943, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Mildred (Carpenter) Klinger
She was a member of the Buckhorn United Methodist Church.
Betty was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, enjoying the time she was able to spend with them at the family pool. She loved gardening and baking. She also enjoyed country music shows and going for rides in the country.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings: Clara Gross, Marg Singley, Jack Klinger, Fred Klinger and Robert Klinger
Surviving is her loving husband Gerald L. Swisher with whom she would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on June 8th; two sons: Gerald J. Swisher and his wife Regina and Jack L. Swisher and his wife Rosemary of Bloomsburg; a daughter Tina J., wife of Michael Sneidman of Bloomsburg; six grandchildren: Kevin High and his wife Alicia, Braxton Swisher and his wife Hannah, Amber wife of Erik Kriner, Autumn wife of Chris Zanolini, Derek Sneidman and his wife Kirsten, and Bryce Sneidman; 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Herschel Klinger and his wife Marlene of Bloomsburg; two sisters, Nancy Webb of Bloomsburg and Shirley McAllister of Elizabethville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
