Beatrice J. Weaver

Beatrice J. Weaver, age 85, of Circle Dr., Berwick, passed away at 9:26 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the Bloomsburg Care & Rehabilitation, where she had been a resident.

Born on January 1, 1935 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of Norman and Cora (McCormick) Halderman. She lived in Berwick for the past 13 years and previously resided in Almedia for many years.

Beatrice last worked at Weis Markets, Bloomsburg. Earlier, she worked at Fab Tex, Danville, and for a food service contractor in the Scranton Commons at Bloomsburg University.

She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Arden Frederick Weaver, on March 23, 1988, and by a sister, Betty Dollman.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra King, Berwick; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and sister, Laura Jean Sorder, Bloomsburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home, Bloomsburg, with Pastor George A. Zerbe, of Emanuel Dutch Hill Bible Church, officiating. Friends may call between 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow in Creveling Cemetery.
