Anna T. (Lesnefsky) Roan

Anna T. (Lesnefsky) Roan, age 92, of 100 Westminster Drive, Bloomsburg, passed away peacefully early Monday morning October 3, 2022, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Beaver Twp., on November 24, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Sophie (Bolinsky) Lesnefsky. Her early life was spent in Beaver Twp., where she was a 1947 graduate of Beaver Township High School. She resided in Espy for many years before moving to Bloomsburg.

Anna was employed at the former Magee Carpet Co., and last at the Danville State Hospital.

She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.

Anna was family oriented and meeting with her family were her first priority. She had a close relationship with her grandson, Brett and was overjoyed when she recently welcomed her great- grandson Brooks. She had a green thumb and was well known for her beautiful flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Roan, after a marriage of 65 years on May 27, 2016 and a sister, Jennie Ellis.

Anna is survived by her daughter, LouAnn M., wife of Barry Justice, of Lansdale; a grandson, Brett Justice and his wife, Alison, of Philadelphia; and a great grandson, Brooks Justice; two sisters, Regina Lesnefsky and Sophie Plafcan, both of Berwick; a brother-in-law, Robert Ellis, of Bloomsburg and 11 nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11:00 am. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, by her pastor, Rev. Richard J. Mowery. Interment will follow in Creveling Cemetery. Viewing at the church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
