Ann M. Pelton

Ann M. (Kessler) Pelton, age 82, 52 Walnut Street, Bloomsburg (Fernville) died at her home early Monday, January 22, 2017 after having been in failing health for six years.

Born in Bloomsburg on December 6, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Frank G., Sr. and Hazel M. (Bucher) Kessler. She spent her entire lifetime in Bloomsburg and was a 1954 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Ann was last employed as a medical secretary in the chiropractic office of  Dr. Russell M. Hoch on West Main Street and earlier held a similar position in the office of the late Fred W. Reese, M. D. on Market Street in Bloomsburg.

She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Her hobbies were tole painting, knitting, crocheting, sewing and doing ceramics.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. "Jack"  Pelton on August 1, 1998,  a sister, Dawn A. Kessler and a brother, Frank G. Kessler, Jr.

Ann is survived by a son, Timothy John Pelton, who resided with her; a daughter, Kasey P., wife of Andrew Bensky, Charlotte, North Carolina; two granddaughters: Alyssa  Bensky, Manchester, New Hampshire and Hannah Bensky, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and two nieces: Stacey, wife of Kenneth  Truesdell, Cincinnati, Ohio and Dawn, wife of John Bressler, Bloomsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Gary D. Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a. m.
