Andrew James Reisinger
Andrew James Reisinger, age 20, 143 W. Eighth Street, Bloomsburg, died early Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the home of his grandparents, Cynthia and George F. Samuels in Catawissa.
Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on April 3, 1997, he was the son of Kathrine Ann "Katie" (Reisinger) Detwiler, and Benjamin E. Johnson, all of Bloomsburg.
Andrew was a 2015 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and was currently attending Bloomsburg University where he would have been a junior later this month.
He was formerly employed part time in the Bloomsburg University Library and presently worked in the meat department of Weis Markets, Bloomsburg.
Andrew was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and loved his church dearly. He was a gentle soul and a kind spirit that was loved by his family and he in turn loved his family, especially his younger brothers. An avid reader and writer, he was always ready to give of himself to his family and friends.
Surviving are his mother and step father, Kathrine Ann "Katie", wife of Andrew Lloyd Detwiler, Bloomsburg; his father, Benjamin E. Johnson of Bloomsburg; his brothers, Luke Jace Davis and Gabriel George Detwiler, both of Bloomsburg; his maternal grandparents, Cynthia, wife of his pap, George F. Samuels, Catawissa and Kenneth B. Reisinger, Carlisle; his paternal grandparents, Bonita M. Vanderslice, Bloomsburg and Jay C. Johnson, and his wife Deborah, Hershey; his maternal great-grandparents, William E. and Sara G. May, Bloomsburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30 a. m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg, by his pastor, Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
Viewing on Thursday from 9-11 a. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
