Allen F. Acor, II, 68, of Buckhorn Road, Bloomsburg passed away at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville on Saturday, June 7, 2025, after an illness.
Born in Bloomburg on November 22, 1956, he was a son of the late Rev. Allen F. and Shirley M. (Dill) Acor. He lived in Madison Township most of his life and was a 1975 graduate of Millville High School. He received an associate’s degree from the former Williamsport Area Community College.
Allen was last employed as a diesel mechanic by Tulpehocken Mountain Spring Water Co. in Northumberland, working there for 15 years. Earlier he owned and operated his own truck.
He was a member of the Washingtonville Lutheran Church. He also belonged to Bloomsburg Elks Lodge 436 where he was a former Exalted Ruler. He also was a member of the Danville Masonic Lodge and a former member of Caldwell Consistory in Bloomsburg.
Allen enjoyed hunting and camping, working on cars and tractors as well as farming.
He is survived by his wife, the former Gail E. Jones, with whom he celebrated his 44th wedding anniversary on May 30, 2025; a son, Todd A. Acor and his wife April, a grandson Matthew Acor all of Danville; five siblings: Richard L. Acor and his wife Rhonda of Bloomsburg, Robert J. Acor and his wife Michelle of Tennessee, Debra A., wife of Larry E. Kuntz of Hanover, Kimberly S., wife of Kenneth E. Long of Bloomsburg, Merry E . Acor of Bloomsburg and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wed. at 11 a. m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville with Pastor Mark Messner of the Millville Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Washingtonville Lutheran Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a. m.
