Marqueen L. Beishline

Marqueen L. (Holden) Beishline, age 87, 263 Zaners Bridge Road, Stillwater, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at The Gardens at Orangeville. She had been in failing health for the past two years.

Born in Berwick, on November 4, 1929 she was the eldest child of the late Harold G. and E. Irene (Hudelson) Holden. She was a 1947 graduate of Berwick High School.

Early in her adult life, Marqueen was employed by the Wise Potato Chip Co., Berwick as a PBX switch board operator. After her marriage she became a homemaker and she and her husband owned and operated the Sunny Hillside Dairy, Benton for several years before moving to their residence in Stillwater where they raised their family. She retired from the Millville Health Care Center in 1994 and later worked as a private caregiver.

Marqueen was a faithful member of St. James United Church of Christ near Bendertown. She was devoted to her faith and worked for many years at the church’s fundraiser dinners and ice cream festivals. She was a member of the former Benton Chapter of the Order Of The Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron in 1975-76.  Marqueen enjoyed her family, especially watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. She found enjoyment in growing house plants and  flowers, music and current events. She was a very good pie baker.

Marqueen was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Joseph H. Beishline who passed away on January 6, 1997 and by two brothers; Harold G. (Buster) Holden, Jr. and Roger A. Holden.

Surviving are five children, Joselle B. , wife of Gary Seitz, Felton; Mark H. Beishline, and his wife Lou Jean, Orangeville; Anne L., wife of Gregory A. Filohoski, Stillwater; Eric H. Beishline and his wife Lisa Stallbaumer, Ph.D., Stillwater;  Natalie C. wife of Douglas Kupas, Danville; ten grandchildren: Levi Beishline, Justin Beishline, Jared Seitz, Adam Seitz, Jason Seitz, Lauran Seitz, Kate Filohoski, Grace Filohoski, Paige Kupas, Stefan Kupas and two great grandchildren, Elyse Beishline and Lea Beishline.

Also surviving are five siblings, Madalyn, wife of W. Thomas Ash, Destin Fla.; Lark Matton, Youngstown, N.Y.;  Carol E., wife of Peter Patterson, Albion,  N.Y.; Craig Holden, Phoenix, Ariz.; Linda Chavez, Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister in law, Jeannine B. Michel, Orangeville; and numerous cousins, nieces and  nephews.

Private Services will be held in the Dean W Kriner Inc Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton with her pastor Rev. Nancy Light-Hardy officiating. Interment in St. James Cemetery, Bendertown. The family will provide flowers. Memorials may be sent in her name to St. James United Church of Christ, 433 Zaners Bridge Road, Stillwater, PA  17878.
