Tammy L. Drumm, age 55, 17 Montgomery Village, Danville, died at her home on Monday, August 6, 2018. She had been in ill health since 2007.
Born at the Bloomsburg Hospital on February 26, 1963, she was a daughter of Charles W. Drumm of Danville and the late Grace A. (Baylor) Drumm, who died in 2008.. She spent her entire life in Danville.
Tammy was a 1981 graduate of Danville High School where she was valedictorian of her class. She earned a B. S. degree in Computer and Information Science from Bloomsburg University in 1985.
She was employed by Geisinger Medical Center and Geisinger Health Plan for almost 20 years, retiring due to health problems.
Tammy enjoyed reading, following "true crime stories", knitting, crocheting, watching horse shows and rodeos. Her favorite activities included spending time with her family and close friends, and especially her dogs. She felt very strongly about adopting rescue dogs from the SPCA. Since 1985 she gave six dogs a "forever home", Tucker, Tessa, Tatum, Tori, Tanner, and Tallulah, who all since have passed over the "rainbow bridge" where she has now joined them.
Surviving in addition to her father, is her sister, Tracy A., wife of Ralph L. Woodruff, Jr., Bloomsburg; a nephew, Matthew R. Woodruff, and his wife Brittany, Bloomsburg; a great nephew: Grayson Ray Woodruff and three great nieces: Harper Grace Woodruff, Charleigh Ann Woodruff and Emma Ryan Woodruff. Also surviving are her three closest friends, dating back to their school days, Tammy L. Kratzer, Judy A. (Hittle) Alexander and Judith A. Hall.
At the request of the deceased, private services will be held. Inurnment will take place at Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Memorial contributions may be sent to the PA SPCA, 1467 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
