Richard L. "Rick" Gearhart, age 64, 14 Steltz Road, Danville, passed away at 7:45 p. m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on November 22, 1953 in Levittown, he was a son of the late William and Annamae (Boyd) Gearhart. He was a graduate of Pennsboro High School.
Rick was employed by Smucker's Pet Food in Lime Ridge for 25 years, retiring in December, 2017.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan his entire life. He loved the outdoors, whether it was camping or boating with family and friends or just cruising on his Harley.
Rick is survived by his wife, Beth A. (Wirick) Gritzer; a daughter Jennifer Gearhart-Robbins and her husband, Brian Robbins, Danville; five grandchildren: BJ, Bryanna, Kendra, Damon and Trystin; four great-grandchildren: Chase, Logan, Paisley and Kaydin; and his many riding friends whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard "Lenny" Boyd and a grandson, Richie.
Life is what you make it, and Rick lived his entire life the way he wanted.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 6 p. m. at the El Rancho Restaurant, Route 11, Northumberland. Be sure to wear your Eagle's green.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville.
