Paul E. Cunningham, age 84, of 407 E. Ninth Street, Bloomsburg, died Monday morning, Nov. 18, 2019, at the Select Specialty Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was a patient for one month.
Born in Bloomsburg on Jan. 13, 1935, he was a son of the late Wade H. and Sarah R. (Atwell) Cunningham. He was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg and a 1953 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Paul was employed by the Kawneer, Corp. for 31 years before retiring. After retirement he was employed by the Columbia Montour Area Agency on Aging for five years.
He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War for four years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Catherine A. Hoppes, Helen E. Nygren, Marian Stadler, E. Mae Shoemaker and by four brothers: Charles V. Cunningham, James H. Cunningham, Wade E. Cunningham, and Hugh D. Cunningham.
Paul is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, the former Anna Mae Steinruck; three children: Theodore E. Cunningham, and his wife Karen Ann, Bloomsburg; Kerry L. Bozung, and her companion Thomas T. Fawess, of Milton, Scott E. Cunningham, at home; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
