Evelyn Ann (Deihl) Ralston, age 71, 422 Valley Road, Bloomsburg , died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, September 1, 2017 and was pronounced dead at 10:20 p. m .
Born in Bloomsburg on January 5, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Walter W. and Evelyn A (Bolinsky) Deihl. She was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg and a 1964 graduate of Bloomsburg High School. She also graduated from the former Ja Mel Beauty School.
Ann was employed by the former Magee Carpet Co., for several years early in her life and later operated a beauty shop from her home in Fernville. She was a partner in Deihl’s Nursery and also was involved in other family enterprises, including Deihl’s Camp Ground. She also owned Carl’s Carmel Corn at the Bloomsburg Fair for many years
She was a member of St. Paul‘s Episcopal Church, Bloomsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. “Jack“ Ralston, on. May 7, 2016.
Ann is survived by two sons: Jeffrey John Ralston, and his wife Eve, Bloomsburg and Bradley W. Ralston who resided with her; four grandsons: John “Jack” Ralston, Tyler Ralston. Jace Ralston, Lucas Ralston, all of Bloomsburg; two sisters: Doris P., wife of Robert A. Hartzell and Jane D., wife of Keith W. Pennington, all of Bloomsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon, pastor of Shiloh Bible Church, officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p. m.
