Erwin C. Scheunemann, II, ago 90, of 1707 Montour Blvd., Danville, died at 4:15 a. m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Emmanuel Center For Nursing, Danville, where he was a patient.

Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Feb. 27, 1929, he was the only child of the late Erwin C. and Elizabeth (Hosking) Scheunemann.  He was a graduate of Olney High School in Philadelphia.

Erwin moved to Danville in June, 2014,  taking up  residence at The Meadows at Maria Joseph Community. Previously he resided in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey for 10 years and in Abington Township, Montgomery County prior to that.

He was employed by the former Bell Telephone Co., of Pennsylvania for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was then self employed in the telephone business with his son Mark for 10 years.

Erwin was a member of the Shiloh United Church of Christ, Danville. He was an avid bow hunter. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary E. Brennan,  in February,  2003.

Surviving are two sons: Erwin C. Sheunemann, III, and his wife Betty Whitcavage, of Tucson, Ariz. and Mark E. Scheunemann, and his wife Constance A., of Millville; and a  granddaughter, Allyson Scheunemann of Millville.

Funeral  services will be held  on Monday at 7 p. m. in the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville, with his pastor, Rev. Mary B. Schmotzer,   officiating.  Viewing from 6-7  p. m.  Interment on Tuesday in Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntington Valley, Montgomery  County.
