Dear Merle, Tom, Janet and families,
Just learned of Ida's death via an email from a Bloomsburg friend. I want to express my sympathy for all of you. I did Ida's hair for many , many years, before moving to Virginia and thoroughly enjoyed our weekly visits. I know that she touched the hearts of all who knew her and will be remembered by all. Please know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I have been missing my special little treats in the morning, when I would bring the newspaper. Goldie was never thrilled to see me and my little dog but Ida would leave me little notes and candy. It was a great beginning to my day.

Hello Uncle Merle, Janet and Tom, It would take way too long to share all of the wonderful memories I have of Aunt Ida. From chasing her with toy mice to baking her wonderful Snickerdoodles and other treats every Christmas. I was changed by her wonderful spirit and kindness. I am praying that you will sense God's presence and comfort during this time. Love, Jan

Dear Janet & Tom,

We had the privilege of meeting Merle and Ida during the summer of 2009 for the first time. Ida's grandfather, Jacob Fenstermacher, was a brother to William Benjamin who was my (Guy's) grandfather. We talked about family history and she gave us pictures of the family. We had corresponded with her after that and sent her a copy of what genealogy we had put together. She was a remarkable lady and we so much enjoyed our short visit with her.

We are still working on family history and would be very pleased to hear from you, her children, in the future.

May we express to the whole family our heartfelt sympathy.
