Sandra Sue Wertz Roach, age 75, Bloomsburg, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Geisinger Bloomsburg where she was a patient for one day.

Born in Lancaster on November 21, 1941, she was a  daughter of the late Clarence Thompson and the late Mary Jane (Potts) McCleary. She was a 1959 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, Lancaster.

Sandra resided in Stony Brook Circle, Orangeville for four years; Berwick for six years and prior to that in Riverside for many years. She was a  loyal employee of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was an accountant for 25 years before retiring.

She was a member of the Emmanuel Bible Church , Berwick (now LCBC), where she was active in many church functions and small groups, over the years. She was a devoted mother and church member.

Sandra had many hobbies, doing crafts, making ornaments as well as reading and she had a fond admiration for a good puzzle. She was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association which she enjoyed immensely with her husband, Robert Roach.

She was preceded in death by two husbands: Edward Christopher "Big Ed" Wertz on February 26, 2003 and Robert S. "Bob" Roach on September 27, 2012 and a daughter Ginger Styer.

Surviving are her son, Brent Edward Wertz and his wife Kristin and their daughter Kira Elizabeth, Virginia Beach, VA, a granddaughter, Brandi, wife of Sheldon Riehl and their four children, New Holland; a brother, Terry Thompson and his wife Louise, a niece Kristin Thompson and as nephew Michael Thompson all of Mobile, Ala.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 9:00 AM, in the  Berwick Assembly of God Church, 301 E. Fifth St., Berwick with  the church  pastor, Rev. Stephen C. Potutsching officiating.

Sandra was buried in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge, following a private service on March 25, 2017.
