Louis  L.  Anders

Louis L. Anders, age 84, formerly of Stony Brook Circle, Orangeville, died at 3 p. m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center where he resided since April, 2013.

Born on October 9, 1933 in Bardolph, McDonough County, Illinois, a son of the late Lee R. and May (Miller) Anders. He resided in Stony Brook Circle for 25 years and last at the Bloomsburg Towers where he resided for three years.

Louis was a 1951 graduate of Macomb (Illinois) High School and received  his B. S. degree from Western University.

He was employed at the former Star Kist Foods, Lime Ridge for 18 years, retiring in 1991. Earlier he was employed by the Schlitz Brewing Co. in California.

Louis was a member of Bloomsburg Elks Lodge 436, Valley of Bloomsburg Post 273, American Legion, and the Ft. McClure Post 804, VFW.

He served with the US Army during the Korean War, serving from May 21, 1953 to April 22, 1955.

Louis is survived by two sons: Michael Anders, Tustin, California and Scott Anders, Anaheim, California and several grandchildren.

There will be no local services. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb, Illinois.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
