Joanne G. Wallace, age 70, 1947 Millville Road, Bloomsburg, died at 11:14 a. m. Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical   Center, Danville, where she was a patient.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 29, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Oscar J. and Josephine (Kurowski) Roberts.  She  was a 1965 graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre and also graduated  from Luzerne County Community College.

Joanne resided in Bloomsburg for the past 10 years and previously lived in Benton for many years.

She was a chaplain at the Geisinger Life Care Center in Kulpmont.

Joanne was a talented artist and enjoyed art work.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: Harry C. Evans and John Volansky; and a son, Peter P. Wallace, lll.

Surviving are her former husband, Peter P. Wallace, Jr., Benton; four children: Angela M. Coolbaugh, Wilkes-Barre;  John Volansky, and his wife Tanya, Benton; Jolyn Wallace, Benton; Bernadette Wallace, Benton; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Regina Roberts, Wilkes-Barre.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton, with David I. Bronson, pastor of the Cambra Christian Church officiating. Friends may call from 1-2 p. m.
